HERSTORY is an investigation through abstraction and figuration that questions reality with the feminine perspective. Even in times of emergency and change, art and its universality should always be in the forefront, as expressed by the works by:

STORYTELLING

By juxtaposing figurative imagery and abstract research, STORYTELLING questions the stories that lie behind often impossible and incomprehensible (mis)representations of reality as well as revealing little known anecdotes hidden here in a title, there in a caption, or maybe in a label. Presenting works by:
John Armleder, Sanford Biggers, McArthur Binion, Urs Fischer, Tomoo Gokita, Dennis Kardon, Tony Lewis, Nate Lowman, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Paola Pivi, Rob Pruitt, Jim Shaw, Josh Smith, and Piotr Uklański.
