Jessica Silverman is pleased to announce an ambitious booth at Art Basel in Miami Beach, featuring artists both new and long a part of the gallery's program. The show includes new paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings and other wall works by: Sadie Barnette, Andrea Bowers, Luke Butler, Judy Chicago, Theresa Chromati, Conrad Egyir, Matthew Angelo Harrison, Julian Hoeber, Dashiell Manley, Rashaad Newsome, Woody De Othello, Hayal Pozanti, Clare Rojas, Rose B. Simpson, Catherine Wagner and Chelsea Ryoko Wong.
The gallery will also exhibit a monumental tableau painting by Egyir in the fair's Meridians sector titled 700 Cycles of Somatic Renditioning (2021). 700 Cycles of Somatic Renditioning is Conrad Egyir's most ambitious work to date. The painting takes the form of a family tableau, alluding to American artists such as Charles White and Faith Ringgold while evoking narratives and symbolic gestures centra to Ashanti culture in Egyir's native Ghana.
