Booth 344
Perrotin is pleased to pay homage to the New School of Paris, a movement that defined abstraction in the immediate aftermath of World War II. We will bring together its key proponents, including Pierre Soulages, Georges Mathieu, Hans Hartung, and a nested display of works by Anna-Eva Bergman, a central figure in the development of European modernism who abstracted the landscapes of Norway, transforming lunar light, floating icebergs, jagged fjords, endless horizons into spiritually transcendent compositions.
We are pleased to announce a formal collaboration with the estate of Anna-Eva Bergman with the late artist's first survey in America opening at Perrotin New York on September 10.
Concurrently, the gallery will present significant works by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel and Flemish sculptor Johan Creten.
