Booth D04
White Cube is pleased to return to Frieze London for the 2022 edition of the fair, presenting works by over 20 international artists including Tunji Adeniyi-Jones, Tracey Emin, Theaster Gates, Antony Gormley, Andreas Gursky, Damien Hirst, Beatriz Milhazes, Jessica Rankin and Cinga Samson.
Highlights from the booth include:
SEAR (2021), a steel sculpture by Antony Gormley. This month, Gormley unveiled a new permanent commission at Imperial College London’s South Kensington Campus. The 6-metre-high sculpture, titled ALERT (2022), was gifted by alumnus of the university.
A series of new 9 works on paper by Tracey Emin. During Frieze Week, the artist will auction her painting Like a Cloud of Blood (2022) in the 20th/21st Century London Evening Sale at Christie’s to raise funds for her new artist’s studio and residency programme in Margate.
Theaster Gates’s tar painting Color Study with Red and Gray (2022). Gates’s design for the 2022 Serpentine Pavilion, titled Black Chapel, pays homage to British craft and manufacturing traditions while also exploring the architectural typologies that ground the artist's practice. Theaster Gates: Black Chapel is on view until 16 October 2022.
Mulatinho (2008) by Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes, a vibrant painting which is also the subject of the October edition of White Cube Salon, a monthly secondary market programme showcasing outstanding examples of post-war and contemporary art. Tunji Adeniyi-Jones’s new painting Untitled (Cascades Study) (2022). The artist is currently presenting his first solo exhibition in France at White Cube Paris.
