The 7 June Contemporary Art auction totaled $2.4 million with several works selling well above their high estimates. The sale was led by Keith Haring’s Untitled, a sumi ink on paper work from 1983, which sold for $197,000. Other top results included pieces by Alexander Calder, Sam Francis and Paul Jenkins.

A notable highlight from the sale was Richard Artschwager’s Exclamation Point that sold for $81,250, nearly seven times its high estimate. Two works by Alfred Jensen showcasing his geometric forms and study of numerical systems also greatly exceeded their high estimates of $8,000, with both selling for $43,750. All results are now available online.
