Sotheby's Contemporary Art Evening Auction on 13 November is led by Andy Warhol's Silver Car Crash (Double Disaster), a work of monumental scale from his 1963 disaster series. Additional Warhols in the sale include a rare Liz, shown here, and a five-foot Flowers, both from celebrated series. Exceptional paintings by Gerhard Richter, Brice Marden and Agnes Martin also highlight the sale alongside a selection of works by Cy Twombly and John Chamberlain from Dia Art Foundation.
Our 14 November Contemporary Art Day Auction features works by Tom Wesselmann, Keith Haring, Ed Ruscha and additional selections from Dia Art Foundation. Highlighting the Day Auction are 18 pieces of jewellery by Alexander Calder from one of the most important collections to come to auction. |
