Our March Contemporary Curated sale brought a total of $17,255,188, setting the sale total above the high estimate and establishing the highest ever sale achieved for a various owner mid-season sale. The auction was led by Robert Indiana's LOVE (Red/Blue), which sold for $1,685,000. Two extraordinary and rare works by Salvatore Scarpitta from the collection of Abby and B.H. Friedman also highlighted the auction, with both works selling well above their high estimates at $875,000 and $545,000. Other top lots included Anselm Kiefer's Nidhogger that sold for $917,000 and the cover lot, Richard Prince's Untitled (Cowboy) at $701,000, the highest price achieved at auction for this image.
